Steps to develop digitally inclusive and Empowered Society

In a country like India with such a large population. it is very difficult to render various services, schemes etc. For this, most relevant way is digitization.

 The initiative of Digital India was launched in 2015, but it lacks somewhere in fulfilling its aim of rendering digitally empowered society.

Steps to Develop Digitally inclusive society:-

• To develop society the need is to bring people from all strata of life under its umbrella.
• Increasing Digital Literacy: -  For inclusiveness, it is very important to strengthen the already existing schemes like Pradhan Mantri Digital saksharta Abhiyan
• Strengthening Broadband Access: - Peoples reach to internet is limited because of lack of accessibility to increase it the National Broadband Mission has to be operational and reachable.
• Cost effective Accessibility: - In a country which is still developing, needs internet or digital access at a cost effective level, to make it affordable for all.
• Training to Render Service:- All the level of society should be trained  from urban poor, semi-urban region need digital literacy to bring equitable digital society.
•  PPPs and Co-operative Federalism: -

 To enhance :-

A) Safe and Secure cyber space

B) Facilitating unique identification to access.

C) Easy Access to common service center.

D) Strengthening cloud Network

Steps to develop digitally empowered society

• Empowering through Make in India: - People who are interested in making cost effective yet efficient digital platform should be encouraged. This will lead to empowering indegereousity and economy too.
• Example: - Mukund BS who made computers from scrap, to make it available to weaker section to society.
• Demotivating Digital Patriarchy:- In some parts of country it is still taboo for women to use mobiles, they are to be given equality in accessibility too. Schemes like Digital Loads should be empowered.
• Introducing digital platform for Farmers: - A country whose economy depends largely on agriculture must be empowered for these schemes like e- soil checking, e-mandi, agro-market app must be strengthened.

Challenges:-

• Skepticism towards internet based services.
• Lake of high speed data in rural area.
• Lack of awareness

Thus, it is evitable that Indian society, economy and other aspects can flourish more with digitization. An empowered and inclusive society stands strong in flowering the elite concept of revoluting all the sectors of India.
